STRANGE FAMILIARS

LONDON INDEPENDENT PHOTOTGRAPHY GROUP EXHIBITION 2021

During the first lockdown, I turned the camera on myself, and used available light to explore my body as landscape.  Even though I know every wrinkle, thread vein, mole and scar intimately, these familiar undulations and folds of flesh appeared like a strange landscape to me.  The resulting images are a poignant reminder of the isolation and loneliness of that time
